• I held the position of Full-stack developer and DevOps engineer at one of Hungary's most prominent online broker companies. Our goal was to develop further a fast, transparent insurance comparison system and insurance record system, unit testing of existing code, and developing new systems.
• During this time, I also got to know the IT and business side of the insurance world. I corresponded with several insurance companies regarding new premiums and premium adjustment factors.
• Later, I worked on a new architecture which resulted in the introduction of a new backend and frontend technology on which I wrote deployments, a staging server, and more automation for testability and security - keeping in mind the needs and critical shortcomings of the previous architecture.
• Furthermore, I connected our old existing customer management system with a 3rd party customer management system and implemented new features that made our customer management much more accurate, faster, and better in both directions.

2014 - 2017

Full-Stack Developer

• I worked as a Backend and Frontend developer for this company from 2014 to 2017. My work included the development/support of custom CMS and related systems such as image admin. Furthermore, I participated in ideating and implementing redesign solutions for several CEMP publications.
• Frontpage (the look of the main page of the News Portal, admin editing, etc.), statistics, optimizations, image admin, the system where all images are stored, managed, and edited, article editor, a new article editor globally for all publications/broadcast editor, the search engine (available as 24 hours ), profile editor, as well as RSS and Rest API.
• Support - managing readers and journalists:
  • I was on call twice a week, which meant that I was in charge of support for half a day, and I answered any emails, handled bug reports, and fixed them as much as I could during my on-call time.
  • I wrote letters about new developments and my own developments, communicated with clients and journalists about usage, and supported developments that I was involved with live next to their machines. I gave advice or discussed better usability in certain parts of the system.
